I was diagnosed with prostate cancer (Gleason 7, for those in the know) earlier this year. I'm undergoing "robotic" surgery to remove my prostate on Monday at St Vincent's hospital in Sydney. Obviously that's going to mean that, for a while at least, I'll be less productive on the Substack front. I'm sure you all understand why. I'll hopefully manage the podcasts with Phil, and I'll continue working as best I can while I recover, but for the next month I have to give my health priority.
That’s terrible Steve. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You’re quite right to make your health your top priority. I’ll look forward to new stuff in the new year.
Steve I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I've been out of the loop with a lot of things this year and I'm really sorry this is happening to you. You're one of the best lecturers I've ever had and I've never regretted my decision to study at Kingston to learn from you. You were there for me when my sister's terminal diagnosis came, so if there's anything I can do from this side of the world, please let me know.
All the best wishes and prompt recovery proffesor!

Thanks mate. That's what humanity should be about, after all.
I might finally do a live vidcast from my hotel bed...
Get well, my thoughts are with you.
Oh dear. Sorry to hear that! All the best with the operation and recovery!
