I have established this Substack to reconnect with over 700 onetime supporters of my work on Patreon, whose cards were at some point declined by Patreon. Experience helping a few of you over time convinced me that this very high rate of declines had nothing to do with people’s personal finances, but something to do with Patreon’s own financial system. I am hoping that Substack is more robust.
I will post identical material here to my posts on Patreon.
There are 3 options for paid support: $10 a month, $240 a year and |$600 a year (Substack only allows 3 levels of subscription). If you’d like to return to supporting my work, please choose one of these. As on Patreon, I will continue putting out many free access posts here, to promote the monetary, far-from-equilibrium, ecologically-aware approach to economics that I am developing.
All paid levels will have access to all my posts, and all the weekly podcasts with Phil Dobbie.
That’s it for now. I’ll follow up shortly with my first substantive post, detailing the critique I’ve recently had published of Neoclassical economists on climate change, and how these Neoclassicals have reacted to being criticized (surprise, surprise, the answer is “not well”).
Steve, we met briefly I think in Edinburgh. See my contribution at
