My presentation on money creation
For any political party
I gave the presentation below to Jeremy Corbyn’s Peace and Justice Project conference last Sunday (September 21st). It is easily the most succinct talk I’ve given on how private and public finances actually work, and why governments not only can but must run deficits, to create fiat money and to fund the creation of the long-term physical assets that the private sector will not provide.
I had hoped to post it to my own YouTube Channel, but in a typical experience for me these days, it was hacked and I currently don’t have access to it.
I’ll post the slide deck on Patreon, since Substack doesn’t support embedding Powerpoint files.

Excellent presentation. I'm sharing this broadly so more folks can understand economics.
Great to see this narrative getting air time in this way. Steve did a great job with a challenging gig. I don’t believe too much in Corbyn but he can raise the stakes of debate. Economics as it is known is a hegemonic tool to punish working people. Well done Steve.
